Sometimes there is no plan

I’d not thought much about food for tea. I’d been busy trying to make space on my phone and discovered some old message attachments with cute videos I’d forgotten. Suddenly it was food time and I’d not given it much thought.

Oven eggs

Never made this before but it worked so this is what I did.

Place an ounce of butter in an oven proof dish. Place in a hot oven to melt for a couple of minutes. Slice a tomato and place in melted butter with a pinch of salt.

Return to oven for 5 minutes. Remove and add required eggs.

Return to oven for 8 minutes, remove and rest for 2 minutes.

I served with oven baked sausages, shop bought onion rings and an oven baked garlic bread because sometimes even I eat shop made food !!

Banana pudding

Place whole unpeeled bananas in a hot oven that has just been turned off. Leave while you eat your main.

Remove hot bananas carefully they will now be black

Peel with a sharp knife. Serve with homemade vanilla ice cream (tomorrows blog)
