Out in my garden today the sun beat down making me ‘slightly’ think spring was here. A small step into the shade and the temperature drop was almost fridge like.
Last weekend we had snow. Yet Saturday morning it was so warm I built up a sweat while litter picking.
The long days are not matching the need to stay in and be cosy.
To try and feel positive about the warmer months that must be on the way. I want to share my homemade lemonade recipe with you.
5 lemons sliced, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1-2 teaspoons of food standard citrus acid.
Place the above into a large bowl and cover with boiling water, stir. Cover and leave for 36 hours at room temperature.
Remove the lemons (these can be saved for marmalade, or frozen Separately for drinks). Bottle and store in the fridge. Serve diluted with fizzy water. Or dilute with hot water for a winter warmer.
